This Is Big Sky Big Sky Resort in Montana offers three mountains
graced by over 400 inches of annual snowfall to delight skiers and snowboarders.
Our signature Lone Peak rises to a lofty 11,166 feet with European-style
expert terrain accessed by the Lone Peak Tram. Andesite Mountain has some
of the resort's most notable intermediate trails, some comfortable south-facing
beginner trails, several expert tree runs and a giant half-pipe and terrain park
with rail slides. Flat Iron Mountain is on the eastern shoulder of Andesite
and offers even more variety.
Endless Adventure... Or Not! Your Big Sky Resort Vacation can be as
ambitious or relaxing as you wish. Amongst the pristine Rocky Mountain backdrop, you can
ski, snowboard, snowmobile or snowshoe through the spectacular Montana landscapes.
Just a short ride for the perfect day trip, Yellowstone is as enchanting as ever.
Non-outdoor types can get a massage at the spa, relax in the pool, workout in
the fitness center or enjoy the local shops and restaurants.
Lone Peak Tram The Lone Peak Tram is proud to celebrate its 10th
anniversary this season. Before The Tram, Big Sky Resort was known just for its
intermediate terrain. Over the years, Big Sky's core riders fueled the decision
to install a tram to the summit which would expand the resort's overall size by 50% and increase Big Sky's
skiable terrain by over 1,200 acres to a total of 3,812 acres,
placing it among the resorts in America. The Tram was built
with the aid of 3,000 helicopter flights and hundreds of specialized high-altitude
workers. Today, The Tram continues to transport expert skiers and riders
to some of the most difficult terrain in the country while welcoming the less
advanced skiers and sightseers to 360 degree views of three states, two national
parks and dozens of peaks.
After The Slopes Close Skiing and snowboarding all day is just part of the reason
you take a winter family vacation. Each night after the slopes close we offer a variety
of activites for kids and the whole family. Enjoy Tubing, Free movie night, Fireworks on
Saturday evenings, Outdoor Ice Skating, Guided snowshoe adventures, and more!

Big Sky Resort occupies a part of southwestern Montana that exemplifies
the Western mystique: rugged and wild. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National
Parks immediately to the south, untamed rivers in every adjacent valley and
no major population center within 350 miles. Yet the resort is unquestionably
civilized. With over 100 jet flights a week to the Bozeman/Big Sky Montana
airport it is also quite accessible.
